Street food eats, French dining, Galentine's Day fun, and more...
The day of love is just around the corner, and there are plenty of restaurants in Nottingham that have Valentine’s Day offers on.
I’ve rounded up a mixture of different ones in the city, narrowing them down based on the specialness of what they’re offering, how date-worthy the venue is, and how good value for money the deals are. Whether you’re looking for casual bites, a dazzling dinner, or something in between, there’s a place for everyone.
Want to go your own way? We’ve rounded up the best restaurants in Nottingham.
These are mostly city locations, but if you’d like to scout out romantic restaurants outside the county, our guide has options around the area.
Just after drinks? Cocktails always go down well (Tilt and 31K are a couple of our favourite cosy, intimate options).
Or if you’re also looking for a fun activity to do, there are lots of date night ideas to discover.

By Eve Smallman
1. Hart's
When: February 14
How much: £80pp
Wow your date with a splendid evening at one of the best hotels in Nottingham. Tuck into a delicious three-course meal, then finish off with coffee and chocolates. I visited here recently and loved the refined food, attentive staff, and elegant interior. The signatures from stars that have stayed at Hart’s on the wall also make for great conversation starters. Booking is required, so don’t leave it until the day to make plans.
Do if: You’d like somewhere you can eat and stay overnight in style.
2. The Good Fellow George

How much: £39pp
Take the climb up Derby Road to this warm and inviting restaurant, where you'll be welcomed with champagne before going into your three-course meal. Choices include lobster bisque and crispy gochujang cauliflower for starters, bavette steak and mushroom pappardelle for mains, and chocolate fondant and pornstar martini cheesecake for dessert. You can also add oysters (£2 per one) to start and a cheeseboard (£6) to finish if you’re feeling extra peckish.
Do if: You want to go to one of the hottest date tables in town.
3. Manahatta

This Rodeo Bottomless is one for those who want to enjoy all the NYC, glam vibes with their besties. For two hours from 2-4pm, you can sip on unlimited drinks like prosecco, cocktails, and beer (alcoholic and non-alcoholic options available), and choose from mains like brunch, salads, and burgers. There will also be iconic country tunes from the likes of Shania Twain, Beyonce, and Miley Cyrus, so you’ll definitely want to hit the disco ball dance floor.
Do if: You’re looking to share the love with your friends.
4. Bustler
When: February 14-15
How much: £30
Between February 14-15, you can enjoy two street food dishes from one of Bustler’s sizzling vendors, as well as a glass of fizz each. There’s also a great selection of different cocktails to try, as well as beers and wine on draft. You can also work up an appetite by playing arcade games. On these dates, there will also be live music from Alexa Hawksworth, to add to the swoon-worthy atmosphere.
Do if: You’re after for a crowd-pleasing option that’s chilled-out.
5. Bistrot Pierre
When: February 12-16
How much: £50
They do say Paris is the city of love, so going for a slice of France on Valentine’s Day has to be a brilliant idea. This price includes a bottle of Cuvée 94 wine and two mains, such as duck a l’orange, roasted chicory, and fruits de mer risotto. There’s also the option to add a sharing camembert and the Valentine’s dessert platter (£10 each) to satisfy your sweet or savoury tooth. This deal lasts the longest out of all the ones in this guide, making it a lovely choice if you’d like more flexibility.
Do if: You want to go to a classic restaurant that’s seriously romantic.
6. Valentine’s at No. Twelve
When: February 12-15
How much: £60pp
No. Twelve is run by Masterchef: The Professionals’ Ritchie Stainsby, who is a total pro at making vegan flavours shine. You’ll start the night with a glass of prosecco, and follow that with a five-course meal with dishes such as creamy ‘burrata’ with glazed plums, spring vegetable tart, and Italian meringue with pistachio sponge. Valentine’s Day itself is currently all booked up, but there are times available on the other dates.
Do if: You’d like to win over your date with a meal at one of the best restaurants in Nottingham.
7. Doughnotts X Another? Valentine's Tasting Night
When: February 16
How much: £30pp
Who knew that doughnuts and wine could be paired together? I didn’t, but I’m definitely into it. Nottingham’s famous Doughnotts and pour-your-own bar Another? will be bringing together their fabulous flavours. There isn’t much more info than that, but the event will last three hours, so hopefully you’ll get a good amount to eat and drink.
Do if: You or your partner/friend are totally sweet on sweet treats.
