Notts Going On — Cosmic Titans and Paul Smith’s Barbour collection
Scientific exhibitions, a Grade II listed home in Watnall, an award-winning restaurant, and more...
Hello and welcome to Notts Going On — your weekly guide with events, property, news, and more.
We had some very exciting wins with the Herbert Kilpin feature from last week. Last Friday marked the 155th birthday of the AC Milan founder. I shared our article on X with popular football commentator Adam Summerton, who read it and enjoyed it. And a fan even shared it with Luigi La Rocca — the man who started the movement to get Herbert Kilpin the recognition he deserves. How cool, right?

Health and Wellness 💆♀️
I was kindly invited to Hyp Therapie on The Ropewalk for a fabulous treatment — which was much needed after a busy and stressful week. This was only the second time I’ve ever been massaged, so I wasn’t completely sure how it would go.
However, as soon as I stepped in, the room itself was warm, inviting, and had a beautiful scent. Hyp was absolutely lovely and made me feel comfortable during the entire process. I had the sensations orientales treatment, which used a terracotta stone to exfoliate my skin, leaving it feeling soothed and nourished.
If you’re in need of relaxation, Hyp Therapie offers a range of different treatments like facials and massages. You can see my experience on Instagram and find out more on the site. hyptherapie.co.uk

🏆 Top of the pops: Fine dining spot Restaurant Sat Bains was named the best restaurant in the country by Squaremeal, which showcases reviews from independent critics. It placed the restaurant at the top of its 100 restaurant list. Sat Bains said on Instagram, “After 25 years of dedication to our concept, craft, evolution to this little pocket of Nottingham, down a dodgy lane, sometimes flooded, under a flyover, scattered in Pylons, we are of course humbled to place No. 1 in the UK.” squaremeal.co.uk
🥐 Finger lickin’ good: Alex Bond’s Mollis (which we reviewed in the summer) is teaming up with Public and Plants for a one-day only pop-up on January 30 (so this Thursday).
