Where: The Nest, Nottingham

Set entirely within the Meadow Lane Kop during a tense 90-minute match, this brand-new play explores football not just as a game, but as the heartbeat of family, community, and local pride. While the live cast features top workshop talent aged 11 to 40+, the production also includes a ‘virtual’ dugout filmed by Shane Meadows. Michael Socha and Joe Dempsie will be among the famous faces on screen, while Vicky McClure will provide the voice of the stadium announcer.

Nottingham’s Craft Beer Festival is returning to Sneinton this week, featuring over 30 breweries and 14 food vendors. Not only will it feature vendors from some of Nottingham’s best breweries, such as Neon Raptor, Liquid Light and Black Iris, but it also welcomes some from around the country, such as York’s Brew York, Manchester’s Cloudwater, and Coalville’s Mount St Bernard. There will also be entertainment from a variety of local up-and-coming artists.

🐶 Puppy love: On Sunday, 60 of Clumber Park’s spaniels gathered at the breed’s ancestral home near Worksop for a tree-planting ceremony. New information boards about the dog, and of course, walkies, were also unveiled. Barbara Weston, of the Walking With Clumbers club, told the BBC that owners have been meeting up for 11 years, with the event at Clumber Park being the highlight of their calendar. ‘You come here and you’re going to have a smile on your face, you can’t help it.’ bbc.co.uk
