During this swoon-worthy evening, you’ll be treated to a mix of modern hits and timeless classics from the likes of The Beatles, Ed Sheeran, and Coldplay. You might have heard of cheese and wine. But have you ever heard of doughnuts and wine? We haven’t, but think it could be a winning combo. Local food heroes Doughnotts and pour-your-own bar Another? Wine Bar will be pairing up five glasses of wine with different doughnuts. There are two sittings available but they’re both going fast, so you might want to be quick if you’re keen.

🍳 Chef picks: Very coincidentally, on the same day that we dropped our best restaurants guide, Sky News published a list of cheap eats around the UK recommended by Michelin-starred chefs. Sat Bains named Taquero, The Admiral Rodney, Laguna, and The Cheese Shop as his top local picks. We can vouch for Taquero and The Cheese Shop, but now have the others firmly on our to-visit list. news.sky.com
Scores on the doors ⚽
🌳 Nottingham Forest
With the men’s team not in action until their FA Cup game against Exeter, attention turned to the women’s side who brushed aside Liverpool Feds in their WPL National League North game 4-0. The newly founded Netball side fell to a 62-53 defeat in their NXT Gen league opener.
🦌 Mansfield Town
Mansfield fell to a sixth straight League One defeat, losing 1-0 away at relegation-threatened Northampton. New forward Jordan Rhodes — who has nearly 250 league goals — made his bow, but couldn’t prevent Northampton from taking all three points.
🐦 Notts County
The Magpies underlined their promotion credentials with a straightforward 2-0 win over Morecambe at Meadow Lane on Saturday. January signing Charlie Whitaker opened the scoring before Alassana Jatta scored his 14th goal of the season. Five wins in six games have moved the Magpies to within six points of League One leaders Walsall.
🏒 Nottingham Panthers
It was a mixed weekend for the Panthers, who won away at Dundee Stars 2-1 on Saturday before falling to a shootout defeat in their Valentine's fixture against Glasgow Clan. The Panthers are next back in action at the Motorpoint Arena against Coventry Blaze on February 15.
