News 🗞
☎️ A new hope: A disused phone box in Hockley has been transformed into a resource to help vulnerable people sleeping on the streets find support, as well as helping the general public too. The map inside shows the locations of a range of services, from street kitchens, clothing and essentials to harm reduction, advice and wellbeing services. The ‘hope box’ sits just opposite the Wetherspoons – be sure to check it out next time you’re walking that way. frameworkha.org
🖼️ Thanks for the memories: The Motorpoint Arena has unveiled its People’s Picture Project mosaic. The 6.5-metre artwork, now permanently installed in the arena foyer, brings together over 5,000 images submitted by fans and community members. Each photo captures a personal memory, such as first concerts, family outings and milestone moments. This was created in collaboration with British artist Helen Marshall, who is known for large-scale community projects like The People’s Moon. motorpointarenanottingham.com
Scores on the Doors 🏆
🌳 Nottingham Forest
Nottingham Forest secured a crucial win against Brentford to maintain a five-point gap to the Premier League relegation places. Heading into the weekend off the back of a disappointing Europa League defeat to Braga, the pressure was further increased as West Ham won to close the gap to safety. However, goals from forwards Igor Jesus and Taiwo Awoniyi clinched a win to ease relegation fears for the time being. Six foot seven Napoli forward Lorenzo Lucca also joined on loan to bolster Forest’s ranks for the second half of the season.
🦌 Mansfield Town
Mansfield Town conceded in the final moments of their trip to Stevenage to draw 1-1 in League One. Lucas Akins scored a penalty in the 78th minute to put Stags ahead, but a late goal ended their five-game winning run to leave them 11th in the table. Earlier in the week, defender Adedeji Oshilaja signed a new two-year contract.
🐦 Notts County
Alassana Jatta continued his fine form in front of goal, scoring his 10th of the season as Notts County dispatched Crewe Alexandra at Meadow Lane. Jatta’s 8th-minute header secured the three points in a comfortable League Two win. Notts have also signed forward Lee Ndlovu from Barnet.
🏒 Nottingham Panthers
The Nottingham Panthers won their first game since becoming 2026 Continental Cup Champions with a 4-1 home win over Guildford Flames before a 5-4 road defeat to the same opposition.
