With notes of juniper and nuttiness from acorns foraged in Nottinghamshire, it’s a perfect light tipple to mix with tonic or lemonade.

Renishaw Hall Sparkling Brut, £29.94, Weaver’s Wine
This is made in Derbyshire, but it’s as close as we could get to a local bubbly. It has vibrancy thanks to citrusy lemon and orange notes and even promises notes of custard creams.

Hot Chocolate, £10, Studio Chocolate
There’s possibly nothing more satisfying than curling up with a cup of hot choc on a winter’s evening. You can choose from dark/milk, gold caramel, white, and ruby, which all come in 250g bags.

🧀 Snacks
White Stilton, from £5.50, The Cheese Shop
Blue cheese is definitely a marmite food, which is why we’ve chosen this stilton that isn’t veiny-looking. Made at Cropwell Bishop, it’s a crumbly cheese that will pair well with sweet chutney.

Sweet Tooth Box, £11.50, Luisa’s Vegan Chocolates
Satisfy any sugary cravings with this box, which is filled with twelve truffles — two of every flavour, so no fights will be necessary. These are salted caramel, chocolate caramel, honeycomb (vegan), casholate and white chocolate.

Gimme S’More, £3.95, Doughnotts
S’mores are a delicious, cosy snack. But do you know what’s better? A doughnut version, topped with biscuits and marshmallows. Doughnotts has a huge variety of doughnuts, so you could grab a box and pick and mix flavours or grab a couple, slice them up, and serve as a fun dessert plate.

🎥 Entertainment
Robin Hood, Disney Plus
If you’ve got little ones to entertain, introduce them to some true Disney magic with a Nottingham touch. The film brings the classic characters to life in animal form, with Robin Hood himself as a wily fox who brings down Prince John with the help of his Merry Men.
The Last of Us, Now TV
The post-apocalyptic show stars Pedro Pascal and Nottingham’s own Bella Ramsey, who was born in the area and trained at the Television Workshop. If you missed the show when it came out in January this year, you can snuggle up and catch up with a New Year’s Eve marathon.
We are Nottingham, Spotify
Nottingham’s music scene is incredible. Iconic artists from the area include Sleaford Mods and Jake Bugg, and new waves of artists always coming through, too, such as the likes of ALT BLK ERA and Do Nothing. This playlist brings the very best of the 0115 together.
