By Eve Smallman
1. Studio 31 – NYE Disco Party
Where: 31K, Nottingham
How much: £6.13pp
31K is one of our favourite cocktail bars in Nottingham, and this New Year’s Eve, it will be slinging delicious drinks, all while a live DJ spins dance-worthy tunes. You’ll also get a free glass of fizz at midnight, to toast 2026 to, as well as a free shot token for whenever you need a little partying boost. Doors open at 8pm, and last orders will be just before 12am.
Do if: You’re simply looking for a place with great drinks and a dance floor.
2. Coco Tang Presents: Masked
Where: Coco Tang, Nottingham
How much: From £10pp
Slip on a mask and slink over to Coco Tang for a night of mystery. The cocktail bar will have draped velvet walls, champagne, and live sax performances. There will also be a Secret Society game in play throughout the night – find the golden key and retrieve a special gift from the bar. At midnight, you can either remove your mask or keep it on… depending on what you’ve been up to.
Do if: You’ve always fancied the idea of going to a masked party – they rarely happen in Nottingham!
3. New Year’s Eve in Nottingham
Where: Cosy Club, Nottingham
How much: £20pp for just drinks, £65pp for food and drink
Our city centre Cosy Club was home to the exclusive Reform Club from the 1910s to the 1960s – and it’s nodding to its casino past during this event. Try your luck at the casino tables and try out the cocktail masterclasses, while dancing to the live music and DJ. You can also helpfully either go for just drinks (including a welcome drink and midnight fizz), or for a four-course dinner.
Do if: You’d like to celebrate in a chill yet chic way.

4. Just the Tonic New Year’s Eve Special
Where: The Magic Garden, Nottingham
How much: £22.38pp
Australian comedian John Robertson, award-winning comic Paul F Taylor, Glastonbury-regular Sally-Anne Hayward, and comedian and musician Andrew O’Neill will perform during this NYE Just the Tonic show. Grab a meal or a cocktail before the show, then sit back and chuckle at a range of different comedic styles. This starts at 9.15pm and finishes at 11.15pm, so you can still be home before midnight, should you so wish.
Do if: You’d like to smile your way into 2026.
5. New Year’s Eve Singalong
Where: Malt Cross, Nottingham
How much: £29.12pp
This former Victorian music hall turned pub is a fitting location for this fabulous evening. You’ll learn a special Crazy Little Sing Called Pub NYE song in multiple harmonies, which will be filmed for you to watch afterwards. After this, there will be a mass singalong of lots of pop and rock songs until midnight. The whole event will be finished off with a wholesome round of Auld Lang Syne (what else, right?).
Do if: It isn’t New Year’s for you without a good sing-song – this really takes that to a whole new level.
6. Cocktails and Crime
Where: National Justice Museum, Nottingham
How much: £31.99pp
Step back in time to the rebellious, iconic world of ‘70s music with rock duo Ledd and Stephenson, who are known for their fiery performances and even more fiery relationship. You’ll watch this come to an end during this dramatic courtroom drama, which will also have a murder mystery unfold. Figure out who is behind the plot, all while sipping on a cocktail or mocktail.
Do if: You are a fan of solving puzzles, and would love a night out all about doing just that.
7. New Year’s Eve Twenties Ball
Where: Colwick Hall, Nottingham
How much: £115pp
Swing into 2026 by shimmying over to this 1920s-style party with plenty of glamour. On arrival you’ll be served prosecco and canapes, before sitting down with a three-course meal. Gin and tonic cured salmon, lamb with roasted garlic mash, and black forest gateau are just some of the dishes on offer. After this, Charleston the night away and watch the dazzling fireworks show.
Do if: You’ve always loved the idea of getting dressed up and being to the era of The Great Gatsby.
