Looking for things to do during the Easter holidays around Nottingham? There are so many fun events happening across the whole county.
I’ve picked out a mixture of different ones, such as outdoor trails, crafting activities, and cinema trips. I have narrowed these down based on how unique the events are compared to others in the area and whether they’re good value for money or not.

1. Easter Trails at Sherwood Forest
When: Until April 21
Where: Sherwood Forest, Edwinstowe
How much: £3.50pp
The stunning Sherwood Forest has two trails this Easter that will allow you to explore this legendary location. The Easter Bunny Springo Trail for little ones has letters to find, which you’ll then use to find the special spring word. Meanwhile, Robin’s Tricky Egg Trail has eggs to discover, which will help you complete the logic grid. Both trails have an Easter treat reward for solving the puzzles.
Do if: You and your family are always up for a fun challenge.
2. Easter Eggstravaganza
When: Until April 21
Where: White Post Farm, Farnsfield
How much: £15.95pp adult, £15.50pp child
This adorable farm has been transformed for Easter, with its top yard being transformed into the magical town of Bunnyville. Head to the events yard for plenty of crafts and activities and stroll around and follow the Easter trail. You’ll also be able to meet so many cute animals, like chicks and owl babies. And, to top it off, the Easter Bunny will be around for meet and greets.

3. Family Film Club
When: April 12, 19, and 26
Where: Broadway Cinema, Hockley
How much: Pay what you feel (£2-£10pp)
With its comfy seats and spacious screens, Broadway is a fab place to go and watch a film. The ones on offer over Easter are Babe (April 12), Chicken Run (April 19), and Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit (April 26). The prices are all pay-as-you-feel, so you can select whatever you’re comfortable with. There are also craft activities throughout the day on April 12.
Do if: You need a break from the hustle and bustle of the Easter holidays.
4. Easter Activities at Waterstones
When: April 14 and 16
Where: Waterstones, Nottingham
How much: £3 per child crafting, trail free
Waterstones is hosting a mixture of fun activities that are perfect for younger kids. On Monday you can get crafty and create a cute Easter card. They will provide all the materials you need, as well as refreshments. Meanwhile, the Paddington egg hunt on Wednesday will have chocolate eggs hidden around the children’s floor. Once you’re finished, you can always head to the cafe, which offers picturesque people-watching views of Bridlesmith Gate.
Do if: You’d like to bring some seasonal fun into your half-term trip into town.
5. Easter Egg Hunt
When: April 16-20
Where: Green’s Windmill, Sneinton
How much: £5pp per child
Explore Green’s Windmill, the millyard, the science centre, and the community garden to find the hidden eggs and win prizes. All the proceeds from the trail will go to the Green’s Windmill Trust and entry to the venue itself is free. We recommend packing some food and drink, doing the trail, and then relaxing on the lawn outside once you’re done (it’s one of our top picnic spots in Nottingham).
Do if: You’re looking for an activity you can get to easily from the city — simply hop on the 43 bus.
6. Easter Food and Drink Market
When: April 18-19, 21
Where: The Courtyard at Welbeck, Worksop
How much: Free entry
The Welbeck Estate is home to lots of brilliant food and drink makers, who will be showcasing their delicious wares during this market. There will be beer and spirits, as well as sweet treats, chutneys, and cheeses. While you’re there we recommend seeing the Basketry exhibition at the Harley Foundation and visiting the wonderful Harley Cafe.
Do if: You’d love to stock up your cupboards for bank holiday fun.
7. Easter Eggspedition
When: April 20
Where: Bulwell Wood
How much: £11.55 per child
Spend the whole day searching for Easter eggs in this stunning 41-acre woodland. There will also be exciting games and challenges like the Easter Egg Roll Race and the Hatch the Egg Survival Challenge. To keep you fuelled up, you’ll be able to tuck into chocolate nests cooked over the fire (which we can imagine are deliciously gooey!).
