1. Trent Bridge Fireworks Night With Street Food
When: November 1 - 2
Where: Trent Bridge, West Bridgford
How much: £12pp adult, £6pp under 16, £7.50pp family ticket for four
The iconic, open-air Trent Bridge is the perfect backdrop for a bright firework display — and with its huge capacity, the atmosphere is sure to be electric. Get warmed up by tucking into bites from Notts Street Food, then grab a beverage (hot or cold!), sit down, and enjoy the show. The Saturday event has now sold out, but the Friday event still has (limited) tickets available — on this date, doors open at 6.30pm and the display starts at 8.30pm.
Do if: You’re after a memorable fireworks evening that little ones and big ones alike will enjoy.
2. The Garage Street Food Smoke Up
When: November 2
Where: The Garage Chilwell, Beeston
How much: £1pp
While this event does happen monthly, this special iteration will be a Bonfire Night party. Try treats from a variety of street food stalls and drink craft beers, ales, and cocktails, then huddle around the Scandi firepits and see the display. All this will be set to an eclectic mix of live music, so you’ll still be entertained even while you’re waiting for the next firework to light up the night sky.
Do if: You’d like to go to a chilled-out Bonfire Night where you can go and properly relax.
3. NTHC Fireworks Spectacular
When: November 2
Where: Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre, Ruddington
How much: £8pp adult, £5pp child, £25 family ticket for five
Just a 15-minute drive away from the city centre, the Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre is hosting a huge fireworks show that’s worth the trip. Go on a ride on the adorable miniature railway, take part in fairground fun, and feast on a fine selection of hot food and drinks from the licensed bar. Plus, there will be live music on offer. The event starts at 4.30pm and finishes at 9.30pm, giving you lots of time to wander around before the display.
Do if: You are looking for an event with all the sights and smells of a traditional fireworks night.
4. Papplewick and Linby Village Hall Bonfire and Fireworks Night
When: November 2
Where: Papplewick and Linby Village Hall
How much: £7pp adult, £3.50pp child, £20 family ticket for four
The Papplewick and Linby Bonfire Group is holding a classic village fireworks evening at their village hall with all the sizzling staples. Food-wise, you can snack on burgers, hotdogs, doughnuts, and (of course) mushy peas. There will also be glow sticks for the children to have in hand and a bar so the adults can have a drink in hand. The gates will open at 6pm, the fire will be roaring at 7.00pm, and fireworks will start at 7.15pm. It’s worth noting that there won’t be tickets available on the night and they must be purchased online in advance.
Do if: You are searching for a simple yet oh-so-effective display.
5. Eastwood Town Cricket Club Fireworks and Bonfire Night
When: November 2
Where: Eastwood Town Cricket Club
How much: £3.50pp adult, £1.50pp child 2-14, under 2s free
Last year’s display at the Eastwood Town Cricket Club was a sold-out hit, so you might want to be quick to grab tickets for this. These can be bought online, but the event itself is cash only apart from inside the bar, so make sure to bring some change with you. There will be a delicious BBQ with hot, smoky treats and other refreshments to keep you fuelled up throughout the evening. Gates open at 6pm, the bonfire will be lit at 7pm, and the fireworks will begin at 7.45pm. Be sure to plan how you’ll get there in advance, as there isn’t any parking on-site.
Do if: You are looking for a brilliant bonfire night in Nottinghamshire with real community spirit.
